Kuih Lapis Ros (Steamed Layered Kuih)

 There was a charity bake sale on Monday and I bought several packets of kuih. Amongst others, there was beautiful Kuih Lapis in pink and white layers. I gave away most of the kuih in the office and only one piece of the Kuih Lapis left to bring home. Liana loved it so much particularly because it was pink and she demanded more of it. As promised to her, I made it the next day to satisfy her demand so that she can eat as much as she likes.....! The brothers like this kuih too....

Size: 8" square
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Sugar (HomeKreation - can reduce a bit if you like)
1 cup Rice Flour
1/2
cup Flour
1 tsp Salt
2 packet Coconut Milk Powder
(I used coconut cream & reduced water w same amount)
4 cup Water
1 tsp Oil
Rose syrup or your preferred color

METHOD:
1. Blend all ingredients, except color, until smooth & sieve.

2. Divide into 2 equal parts & color as you like.
3. Steam layer by layer with alternate color.
Steam each layer 10 minutes until firm and last layer 25 minutes.
4. Cool kuih completely before slicing.

Along buat ni untuk memenuhi permintaan Liana. Bawa balik seketul hari tu & bising nak lagi, so terpaksa lah Along buatkan keesukan hari nya. Hasil nya lembut & sedap. TQ Tulip (Fiza)... dah lama tak dengar berita Fiza, lebih dari setahun fotopage nya tak update. Di harap Fiza & keluarga baik2 aja & tq share resepi yg sedap ni. Semua anak2 cakap sedap.

Resepi di taip semula utk mudah rujuk diri sendiri
Saiz: 8" persegi
BAHAN2:
1 cwn Gula (Along kurangkan sedikit)
1 cwn Tepung Beras
1/2 cwn Tepung Gandum
1 st Garam
2 paket Santan Serbuk
(Along ganti dgn santan kotak & kurangkan air)
4 cwn Air
1 st Minyak
Sirap Merah perasa ros atau pewarna kesukaan

CARA2:
1. Blend kesemua bahan, kecuali pewarna, sehingga sebati & tapis.
2. Bahagi kpd dua bahagian & warnakan setiap satu mengikut kesukaan.
3. Kukus berselang seli warna - setiap lapisan selama 5 minit.
(Along kukus 10 minit setiap lapisan supaya betul2 masak dan lapisan terakhir selama 25 minit).
4. Sejukkan kuih sebelum di potong.
Best kuih ni sebab lapisan2 nya boleh di buka jika suka - itu yg buat Liana suka makan ni....
