Kek Lumut Sarawak III (Sarawak Steamed Green Cake III)

 This is third version of Kek Lumut (Lumut means Algae) that I've tried so far and each version gives a distinct outcome. This ones produces heavy and moist texture which is little bit oily (but not bad) - I guess it is due to flourless. Overall is quite tasty and I like the colour which is ugly green resembles algae....

Recipe has been halved from original size and converted into metric measurements
Size: 8" Round
INGREDIENTS:
8oz Butter
135g Caster Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
5 Eggs
200g Condensed Milk
250g fine Nestum Flour* (blend nestum cereal to obtain nestum flour) 
70g Horlicks* (* mixed) 
130g Kaya
Pandan Paste
2-3 drops Choc Emulco (to make it algae green colour)

METHOD:
1. Beat butter, sugar & VE until white & fluffy.
Add in egg, one by one while beating.
Add in condensed milk & mix well.
Add in nestum mixture* & mix well.
Add in Kaya, Pandan paste, choc emulco & mix well.

2. Pour into lined & greased tin.
Steam for 4 hours until cooked.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Saja2 terajin pulak nak buat kek kukus Sarawak ni & kebetulan ada sahabat lama yg sudah 24 tahun tak berjumpa datang melawat Along & keluarga di Miri. Cik Puan Wi dah lama migrate ke luar negara tapi dah pulang semula ke tanah air, datang melawat dgn anak dara bongsu nya yg tersangat lah comel dan cantik.

 Teringin pula nak cuba versi Kek Lumut Dayang yg menggunakan nestum & takda tepung. Memang sedap lemak harum nya, tektur nya sangat lah lembab tapi berminyak sedikit mungkin kerana takda tepung. Along suka dgn warna hijau ni, nampak macam lumut sebab warna hijau buruk - tips dari Dayang campurkan sedikit warna coklat supaya kelihatan hijau kelabu gelap. TQ Dayang kongsi resepi kek Sarawak asli ni.... sedap!

Resepi telah di separuhkan dari asal dan Along tukarkan kpd sukatan metrik.

Saiz: 8" bulat
BAHAN2:
8oz Butter
135g Gula Kastor
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
5 bj Telur
200g Sus Pekat Manis
250g Tepung Nestum* (kisar nestum cereal utk dapatkan tepung nestum) 
70g Horlicks* (* campur) 
130g Kaya
Pes Pandan
2-3 titik Choc Emulco (supaya jadi hijau kelabu gelap)

CARA2:
1. Pukul butter, gula & VE sehingga kembang & putih.
Masukkan telur, satu-persatu sambil di pukul.
Masukkan susu pekat & kacau sebati.
Masukkan campuran nestum* & kacau sebati.
Masukkan kaya, pes pandan, choc emulco kacau sebati.

2. Tuangkan ke dala tin yg di lapik & di minyakkan.
Kukus selama 4 jam sehingga masak.
