Sugee Black Cherry Square

 We had BBQ at the boat club beach last Saturday for farewell to Mike T who retired from the company. He was such a nice boss that I decided to bake something for the occasion. I wasn't very sure what he likes so I baked two things - Apple Crumble served with custard sauce and Sugee Black Cherry Square.

Makes 8" square
INGREDIENTS:
1½ cup Plain Flour*
2 tsp Baking Powder* (* sifted) 
1 cup Sugee
½ cup Caster Sugar
200g Butter
2 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla Essence
Your preferred Jam (I used organik Black Cherry jam with a lot of whole cherries in it)
Almond slices (optional - added by HomeKreation) 

METHOD:
1. Preheat oven 170C.

2. Mix the first 4 ingredients.
Rub in butter, eggs & VE until well mixed.

3. Spread 1/2 portion into a greased tin.
Spread jam & top with the remaining batter.
Sprinkle Almond slices.

4. Bake 20-25 min.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Along buat ni untuk jamuan BBQ tepi pantai pada Sabtu baru2 ni. Kat gambar atas tu Along potong sedikit jer untuk tunjuk pada anda lapisan dalam nya & lepas tu cantum semula untuk bawa kesemua nya ke jamuan tu. Kek ni antara fevret Along sebab rasa yg gebu dan kurang manis. Along guna jem organik tanpa gula, jadi sedang2 jer manis nya.

Dulu dah tayang resepi nya kat sini tapi kali ni Along sertakan resepi dalam BM. Resepi drpd Diana @FRD dan Along memang suka sangat dgn blog Diana yg banyak menengahkan resepi2 berkualiti tapi sayang sekali Diana dah lama tutup blog nya.

Saiz: 8" persegi
BAHAN2:
1½ cwn Tepung Gandum*
2 st Baking Powder* (* ayak) 
1 cwn Suji
½ cwn Gula Kastor
200g Butter
2 bj Telur
2 st Vanilla Essence
Jem pilihan anda (Along guna jem organik Black Cherry - ada byk buah ceri bulat2 dlm jem tu)
Hirisan Almond (optional - ni Along tambah sendiri) 

CARA2:
1. Panaskan oven 170C.

2. Campurkan empat bahan yg pertama.
Gaulkan butter, telur & VE sehingga rata.

3. Ratakan 1/2 adunan ke dlm tin.
Sapukan jem ke atas nya & tutup dgn separuh lagi adunan.
Taburkan almond.

4. Bakar 20-25 min.
