Spicy Tomato Chicken (Ayam Masak Merah Berempah)

 ok, short story..... here is the chicken recipe that accompanied Spicy Tomato Rice yesterday.

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 Chicken - cut
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tbsp Curry Powder
Mixed Spices - Star Anise, Cinnamon Stick, Cardamon, Cloves
1 Big Onion* 
4-5 tbsp Chili Paste*
4 cloves Garlic*
1" Ginger*
1 tbsp Fennel Seeds*
1 tbsp Curry Powder* (* blended)
1 Big Onion - sliced
1/2 cup Tomato Puree
2 tbsp Tomato Sauce
1 cup Coconut Milk
Salt & Sugar

METHOD:
1. Rub chicken with salt, turmeric powder & curry powder and deep fry until cooked.

2. Heat up several tbsp oil & stir fry mixed spices & blended ingredients until fragrant.
Add in the rest of ingredients & let it boiled.
Add in chicken, salt & sugar.
Cook until well mixed about 5 min.

3. Dish up & serve with rice.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Lauk yg di hidangkan kelmarin bersama Nasi Tomato Berempah....

BAHAN2:
1/2 ekor Ayam- potong
1 st Serbuk Kunyit
2 sb Serbuk Rempah Kari
Rempah Tumis, Kulit Kayu, Pelaga, Bg Lawang, Cengkih
1 bj Bwg Besar* 
4-5 sb Cili Mesin*
4 ulas Bwg Putih*
1" Halia*
1 sb Jintan Manis* 
1 sb Serbuk Rempah Kari* (* blend)
1 bj Bwg Besar - hiris
1/2 cwn Tomato Puri
2 sb Sos Tomato
1 cwn Santan
Gula & Garam

BAHAN2:
1. Lumur ayam dgn garam, serbuk kunyt & rempah kari.
Goreng sehingga masak.

2. Panaskan sesenduk minyak, tumis rempah tumis & bhn blend sehingga wangi.
Masukkan kesemua bhn2 lain & kacau sehingga menggelegak.
Masukkan ayam, gula & garam.
Masak sehingga sebati lebih-kurang 5 minit.

3. Hidangkan dgn nasi.
