A phantom is moving around throughout Europe. Voting in the forthcoming European elections could put an end to the Europe of the banks and the bureaucrats. European governments are terrified by the possible success of parties and movements that want to change the current model of Europe, founded on finance, and that want a Europe that’s supportive and works in such a way that when a State is in difficulty, as has happened for Greece, it’s not left to die in order to save the balance sheets of the German and French banks.

A Union devoted to development and not growth. Europe is not a bank, but now we are actually being governed by the ECB. Who has voted for the ECB? Its symbol hasn’t appeared in any European election, but it has more clout than any State. Many European governments especially those in the PIGS (as well as France, that will soon be joining the club), are surviving by cosying up (enslaving themselves?) with the ECB. They keep each other alive. The election campaign for next May has already begun and it’ll be decisive.

Captain Findus Letta, the tin soldier of Brussels, declared to the New York Times "We are at risk of having the biggest ever "anti-European" European Parliament. The biggest risk is that the 25% of the European Parliament will be made up of anti-euro or anti-Europe movements". But if the people of Europe happen to want to change the current policy of the EU and of the ECB it would be a normal democratic process brought about by free elections. Who are these bureaucrats and bankers and their puppets on loan to the political process, who are they to make decisions instead of the citizens? To want to have a new discussion about the Euro and about the directives of the ECB, including the impending danger of the "fiscal compact" could be, according to Letta, due to racism ... "Certain movements are racist". Anti-euro racism?

The Nephew is going to war on behalf of third parties "The growth of populism is today’s biggest social and political problem (and there were we, thinking that the biggest problem was about economics). Today a mission in Italy and in other countries, is to fight populism". On a mission on behalf of Draghi. The word “populism” has become an insult for the People in Power ever since the general public has started questioning their privileges and questioning this Europe, but populism means "A political, social or cultural philosophy or movement that generally aims at the empowerment of the poorest social groups".

Populism means that if the people of Europe have had enough bullshit and they want to create a better Europe then people like Letta will have to pack their bags straight away after the European elections. The "populist" 5 Star MoVement will take part in the European elections to win. It’ll be a crusade. Lift up your hearts.
