Chocolate Banoffee Pie (Again)

I made it few days ago for get-together with Izzi's family.... I told him long time ago about this indulgent dessert so it was straight away became one of the menu for the occasion. It is a very rich and scrumptious pie which my sons love so much... always with "emmmm.." sound by my children when eating it!


I had made it many times because it was always on demand by my children. Recipe was posted here & here before and each with slight variation. Recipe is pasted herewith again for ease of reference and also providing the Bahasa Malaysia translation.

(Makes 10" pie)
CRUST:
200g Digestives Biscuits
100g Melted Butter
- Mix well.
- Grease pie tin & press crumbs until fully covered.
- Bake 180C for 10 minutes & cool.

CHOCOLATE FILLING:
5 oz Bittesweet Chocolate
2/3 cup Heavy/Whipping Cream
2 tsp Corn Syrup / Honey (I used liquid glucose this time) 
3 tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 tsp Vanilla Essence

1. Place all choc, cream & syrup in a pot and heat until melted & smooth.
Off fire & add in butter & VE.
2. Pour into pie crust & fridge for 1 hour.

OTHER INGREDIENTS:
6 Bananas - sliced
1 can Toffee / Dulce de Leche
Whipping Cream
Cocoa Powder 

TO ASSEMBLE (here for step-by-step illustrations):
1. Spread toffee on top of chocolate layer.
2. Arrange sliced bananas until fully covered.
3. Whip cream untl stiff & spread on top of banana layer.
4. Sprinkle cocoa powder.
5. Chill at least 1 hour before serving.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Ini antara pemanis mulut yang amat di gemari oleh anak2 Along... termasuklah Along sendiri.... mmmmm.... kalau makan ni memang terpejam2 mata keenakan yg tak dapat di gambarkan....

Dah byk kali sangat buat ni dan juga resepi ada Along kongsikan di sini & di sini. Kali ni Along kasi terjemahan resepi dlm BM pula.

Saiz: 10" bulat
CRUST:
200g Biskut Digestives
100g Mentega - cairkan 
- Campur rata & tekan ke dlm tin.
- Bakar 180C selama 10 minit. Sejukkan.

CHOCOLATE FILLING:
5 oz Bittesweet Chocolate
2/3 cwn Heavy/Whipping Cream
2 tsp Corn Syrup / Madu (Along guna liquid glucose kali ni) 
3 sb Mentega
1 st Esen Vanilla

1. Masukkan coklat, cream & sirap ke dlm periuk dan panaskan sehingga rata.
Padam api & masukkan mentega & EV.
2. Tuang ke dlm crust tadi & sejukkan dlm petisejuk selama sejam.

BAHAN2 LAIN:
6 bj Pisang - hiris
1 tin Toffee / Dulce de Leche
Whipping Cream
Serbuk Koko

CARA2 (tengok disini cara2 bergambar):
1. Ratakan toffee ke atas lapisan coklat tadi.
2. Susun hirisan pisang sehingga penuh.
3. Ratakan atau paipkan whipping cream.
4. Taburkan serbuk koko.
5. Sejukkan sekurang2nya sejam sebelum di hidangkan.
