It’s a boy for Fergie! The Black Eyed Peas singer and husband Josh Duhamel welcomed their first son on Thursday.

Axl Jack Duhamel weighed in at 7 lbs., 10 oz., their rep tells PEOPLE.
The newborn was named after Axl Rose, lead singer of Guns ‘N Roses, one of Fergie’s favorite bands.
They decided to keep the baby’s name under wraps until he was born. “Some people may not like it, some people may think it’s really cool, but we don’t really care—that’s why we’re not telling anybody,” said Duhamel during his appearance on “LIVE with Kelly and Michael.”
According to source, the 38-year-old singer underwent a C-section at an L.A. hospital and is recouping in one of the V.I.P. suites used by celebrities including Kim Kardashian.
